The Fort Lauderdale Air and Sea Show will be here on April 30th and May 1st. If you haven’t seen one of these shows, it is a Must! You will be thrilled and amazed at what you will see. I have seen this show two times and will try to make three. If you are thinking about going to see this spectacle, Make a list of things you will need. If you are going to be on the beach you will need some type of cover from the sun. Kids need your help they will get burnt quickly, watch them. You will need enough water or soda. A few sandwiches will do. Take a good pair of sun glasses for each person. You have to get there very early, even then it will be slow, just make up your mind that it’s a day out. They do have a large beach patrol to help. There is a different way to see the show. I go on one of the gambling ships that go out of Port Everglades. This way I don’t need any thing but glasses. It is a little further out but no one is in your way. With kids I don’t recommend the boat.

Some of the things you will see, You will see the Blue Devils, 5 fighter planes in formation doing flying drills at close formations. When a floating on air boat goes over the water you cannot hear yourself scream. It doesn’t touch the water it is about 10 feet above the water. You will be amazed at the amount of Boats, Planes, noise Every branch of the U S Services will be their. You won’t have enough eyes to see all of the show.

The other way you can get there is by the bus, They have places all around that will pick you up and take you to their drop off station, They will tell you what time to be back at the station. Their schedules, be there when it’s time to go home. The one drawback is you have to make up your mind that you are comfortable with going by their time schedule. If not use a car. Parking will be crowded so get there early. This way you can leave any time you want to. There will be lots of venders so you won’t be alone.
